Enzo Bucchioni has reflected upon Inter’s performance in their 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague to begin their Champions League group stage campaign.

“Inter seemed incapable of reacting and changing the tempo, they needed a jolt of adrenaline. Losing almost meant being out already but instead Inter have earned a point, even if the result is bad. Now Inter will have to hope that the others will also lose points against Slavia Prague,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

“This is not an Antonio Conte team. The team was slow and played without initiative. Everyone expected a different game to the one played out.

“There was great pressure on the team for this match with it being the first game in the Champions League and the team had a real desire to prove themselves. It will take time but if they have ambition, Inter cannot afford to miss the chances that they did in the first half.”
