Gazzetta dello Sport have become the latest source to report that the Evergrande group could well become Inter’s main shirt sponsor in the years to come.

Evergrande founder and owner Xu Jiayin joined Inter owner Jindong Zhang on his visit to Italy in the past few days and was in fact present at San Siro last night for Inter’s Champions League opener with Slavia Prague.

Jindong Zhang and Xu Jiayin have known each other for a long time and the former could be set to help the latter bring his real estate company to Italy.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Evergrande could become Inter’s main shirt sponsor once Inter’s deal with current shirt sponsors Pirelli expires in 2021.

Before then, the report also explains that Inter and Evergrande could still work together and it cannot be ruled out that Evergrande could be involved in the proposed new stadium to some capacity.
