Inter lacked physicality in the middle of the park in their disappointing 1-1 draw in the Champions League group stage with Slavia Prague on Tuesday night according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri found themselves overrun in the middle by Slavia Prague’s very physically imposing midfield which made things extremely difficult for Antonio Conte’s side.

Conte’s team’s always have a very good physical player in midfield who is maybe able to score seven or eight goals a season, In the past he had Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal and he wants to add more height and physicality to the midfield at Inter. Currently, Conte has Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino who can provide a physical presence.

Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is a player Inter like but there have been no direct negotiations with Lazio. Inter are also keeping an eye on Nemanja Matic, whose contract with Manchester United expires at the end of the current season.
