Corriere dello Sport believe that one of the biggest impacts that Antonio Conte has made in the early stages of his career as Inter manager is increasing the number of goals to have come from the midfielders.

Inter had heavily relied on Mauro Icardi and then Ivan Perisic to come up with the goods in recent years but Conte has been keen to ensure that things are different and he wanted to see goals distributed across the team and more goals coming from the midfield.

After Nicolo Barella’s injury time equaliser against Czech side Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Inter’s midfield have now scored five goals – more than any other department in the team.

This is two more goals than Inter’s attack have managed with Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez the only attackers to have gotten their name on the score sheet so far this term.
