Respected Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti has shared his views on the lack of the mark he perceives Antonio Conte to have made early on in his career as Inter manager.
Conte took over the reigns of the Nerazzurri following Luciano Spalletti’s dismissal at the end of last season and has led Inter to three wins in three matches in the league but could not mastermind his side past Slavia Prague, who they needed an injury time goal against to salvage a draw, in the opening round of the Champions League group stage on Tuesday night.
“Honestly, I have not yet seen the Inter of Antonio Conte. They keep changing the midfield and I have not seen any sort of rhythm or direction in their play. There are no players who are beating their man. Let’s just say that Inter is still waiting for Conte’s imprint,” he remarked in an interview with Calcio Mercato.
