Arrigo Sacchi has reflected on Inter’s performance in their Champions League draw against Slavia Prague on Tuesday night and stressed that things will take time at Inter given the number of changes made in the Summer.
“Perhaps Inter did not expect such a fierce, organised opponent like they did in Slavia Prague,” he started an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Antonio assumed all the blame for the insufficient performance but we should not forget that when things change and there is the addition of new players, it takes a long time and in the first few months there will be many ups and downs. The bigger the change, the longer it will take but Antonio’s capabilities are a guarantee for success.”
He also touched upon this weekend’s first Derby della Madonnina of the season.
“The derby on Saturday will be a match in which both contenders will give their lives. It will be so competitive and it will be an attractive match and it will be a good derby.”
