European football’s governing body UEFA have taken to social media to celebrate the 93rd anniversary since the opening of Inter and AC Milan’s shared San Siro home.

“19 September 1926. The inauguration of the San Siro stadium,” they posted to their official Italian Twitter account as a caption to a video of the historic stadium.

It remains to be seen whether 100 years of San Siro will be celebrated with both clubs currently looking to move on from the ground in favour of building a new state-of-the-art stadium in its place.
