Emilson Cribari is expecting a tough match is in store for his former employers Lazio, who will take on Inter later on tonight at San Siro.

“Lazio has made a mixed start to the season. They did very good in matches against Sampdoria and on Sunday against Parma but dropped points against SPAL. Games against sides like them are games you should always be looking to get three points in if you want to be in the top four,” he said in an interview with PassioneInter.com.

“I expected it to be a very difficult match. Inter is now among the strongest teams, among those that will certainly fight for the Scudetto with Juventus and Napoli. All the matches at San Siro are difficult, but this year it will be even more difficult as Inter have strengthened a lot. They have signed world class players like Diego Godin in defence and Romelu Lukaku in attack. They would make a difference for any team in the world.”

Cribari then went on to recall one of his most memorable matches against Inter, the Nerazzurri’s 4-3 win over Siena.

“It was a really incredible match. We played a great game and it could have ended differently for us but lets not forget we were against Jose Mourinho’s Inter.

“Mourinho’s team was really strong that year, complete in all departments, with quality in all departments, experience and a real desire to win. They made history and will remain one of the best Italian teams ever.”
