Belgian top flight outfit Sporting Lokeren have confirmed the signing of Vlad Mitrea on a two year deal following the expiration of his contract with Inter.

The youngster personally confirmed the move on his official Instagram profile a few days ago but official confirmation was lacking from the club until now.

“18-year-old Vlad Mitrea is a name unknown to many. The Romanian midfielder played for Dinamo Bucharest during his childhood and in 2017 he made the switch to Inter Milan, where he was now at the end of the contract,” a statement on their club website, which also confirmed the capture of Habib Habibou, reads.

“This is a great opportunity for Sporting to have a young talent on the books with an eye to the future. Mitrea signs a two year contract with an option for two further years.”

Mitrea made 21 appearances during his time on Inter’s books, scoring one goal and contributing one assist in 1123 minutes on the park.
