Christian Vieri: “Conte Is Giving Inter Great Character, Inter Can Beat Barcelona”

Former Inter striker Christian Vieri has praised Inter manager Antonio Conte for the Nerazzurri’s perfect start to the 2019/20 Serie A campaign.

Inter have won all six of their league games to date and are currently sitting top of the table, two points clear of second placed Juventus.

“Conte is giving Inter great character. He has great mental strength and courage and now he has the match with Juventus to deal with, a match that the whole world is looking at, even if it doesn’t mean anything when it comes to who wins,” Vieri remarked in an interview with Sport Mediaset show Tiki Taka.

Vieri, who spent six years at Inter between 1999-2005, then shared his thoughts ahead of Inter’s next match against Barcelona in the Champions League.

“Inter can win against Barcelona as there will be no Lionel Messi. Conte has his team prepared. Against Sampdoria they played a great game and this year it is hard to beat Inter.”
