Ivan Perisic has shared his hopes that Bayern Munich take up their option to sign him on a permanent basis from Inter at the end of the season.

“Bayern are one of the five best clubs in the world. I was not their first option but the move all happened very fast. After Leroy Sane’s injury, the club contacted Inter and then my agent,” he explained in an interview with The Athletic.

“I thought about the move and discussed it with my family and after one day, I then agreed terms. I believed in myself and I think I can convince the club to exercise their option to sign me. I will do everything to make it possible.”

Perisic joined the Bundesliga outfit during the Summer transfer window with the Bavarian club able to sign him permanently for a reported €20 million.

In four games across all competitions, the Croatian international has contributed two goals and tallied two assists.
