Antonio Conte will make two changes to the side that started in the 3-1 win over Sampdoria at the weekend for tonight’s match away to Barcelona in the Champions League according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Having been rested for the win over La Samp, Diego Godin will return to the side at the expense of Alessandro Bastoni, who had a fine debut appearance.
Roberto Gagliardini will also drop out of the team and he will be replaced by Nicolo Barella, who will play alongside Stefano Sensi and Marcelo Brozovic in the middle of the park.
Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez will remain Inter’s attacking partnership as a result of Romelu Lukaku’s absence. Conte confirmed yesterday that the Belgian striker will be missing the game as a result of a muscle injury.
Predicted Inter starting XI (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Antonio Candreva, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi, Kwadwo Asamoah; Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez.
