Antonio Conte is not overly worried by Romelu Lukaku’s absence for tonight’s game as he knows he can count upon Alexis Sanchez, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte confirmed at yesterday’s pre-match press conference that the Belgian striker would be missing out and had not travelled with the rest of the team due to a muscle injury that he has been carrying for the past week and a half.

With the first Derby D’Italia of the season coming on Sunday, Inter did not want to take any chances and risk aggravating what is not something serious at the moment.

Sanchez is the player in Inter’s ranks with the second most appearances in the Champions League with 52, seven behind Diego Godin.

The Chilean international is no stranger whatsoever to tonight’s opponents Barcelona, having played no less than 141 times for them over a three-year period between 2011-2014, in which he contributed 47 goals and tallied 35 assists.
