Noted journalist Mario Sconcerti has shared his views on Inter and AC Milan’s proposals to build a new state-of-the-art stadium that will replace their current San Siro home.
“If Inter and Milan want to build a stadium together, they surely have many valid reasons to do so. It seems a bit nonsensical, a great tight-fisted deal,” he explained in an interview with CalcioMercato.com.
“It is one thing to have San Siro, a municipal stadium, a stadium long ago given to the clubs by the city council, but today times have changed, the importance of the teams has grown.
“They no longer represent only Milan, Inter and AC Milan are two great historic clubs. Can you imagine two rival teams staying at the same stadium forever? To pulverise San Siro to achieve this result will surely be a great deal, and this is enough. But don’t talk to me about feelings and modernity and not even logic.”
