Former Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic, who player under Inter coach Antonio Conte during his time at the Bianconeri, spoke to Milano based newspaper la Gazzetta dello Sport today to discuss the coach and tomorrow’s Derby d’Italia.
“The game can be decisive; it can give both teams confidence for the season. It’s a bit like the Juve-Milan one of 2011, because Inter is more or less on the level of our Juve. But Sarri has a much stronger team than Milan’s Allegri: in each role he has two champions.”
Vucinic spoke of Conte’s effect on the squad.
“Antonio works a lot, he is followed by the team and prepares the games like no one else. He told us everything that would happen, and the opponents never put us in trouble.”
He also highlighted his favourite players from both squads.
“Pjanic and Sensi. Pure technique.”
The former forward discussed Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri.
“Yes, I like him: he makes the teams play well and win. Among the coaches I’ve had I would take both Conte and Spalletti, who for me is still one of the best.”
Finally, Vucinic gave his prediction for the game.
“Juve to win. One nil.”
