Italian referee Nicola Rizzoli spoke to Italian radio show ‘Deejay Football Club’ on Radio Deejay today discussing the decision to appoint Gianluca Rocchi as the referee in tomorrow evening’s Derby d’Italia.

“It’s a complicated game, like many others. The referee isn’t having his debut, he has already managed it before. It can be complicated the first time, if you’ve already done it there’s no pressure. Inter-Juve is a different game from the others, but on the pitch, you judge what you see, you don’t think about the context. On the pitch there will be the most experienced VAR in the world and a referee full of experience.”

Tomorrow evening’s Derby d’Italia is the most important one of recent years, with the both teams top of the league table, only separated by two points. Coach Antonio Conte has guided the Nerazzurri to the top of the league table after a perfect start, with Inter winning their first six games in a row.
