Lautaro Martinez was Inter’s star performer in last night’s 2-1 Derby D’Italia defeat to arch-rivals Juventus according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentine striker scored from the penalty spot to draw Inter level after Paulo Dybala’s opener for the visitors but it was not enough in the end as Gonzalo Higuain popped up and scored late on to give the Bianconeri the win.

As part of their player ratings, the Milan based news outlet handed the 21-year-old a 7 rating. They also gave this rating to Nicolo Barella but Gazzetta believe Lautaro just edged it.

Samir Handanovic and Stefan de Vrij both got 6.5, Romelu Lukaku, Stefano Sensi, Danilo D’Ambrosio all 6, Diego Godin, Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastoni all 5.5 whilst Kwadwo Asamoah got 5, as did Matias Vecino, who was Inter’s worst performer.
