Newly retired former Juventus and Italian national team midfielder Claudio Marchisio has shared his thoughts and feelings on last night’s first Derby D’Italia of the season.

Paulo Dybala gave the visiting Bianconeri an early lead before Lautaro Martinez restored parity between the two sides as he scored from the penalty spot. Gonzalo Higuain scored late on to ensure Juventus returned to Turin with all three points.

“Inter played a good game and have made a great start to the season but there is still a difference between them and Juventus,” he explained in an interview with Sky Calcio Club.

“The Nerazzurri players need to be allowed time because so much has changed, including the coach. Some changes have already began to bare fruit but there is still a difference. As for Juventus, managing to score a goal after just a few minutes helps you to go on to play the game that they did.”
