Former Lazio attacker Paolo Di Canio has shared his views on how Inter strikers Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku got on in last night’s 2-1 Derby D’Italia loss against Juventus.

“Lautaro was good, he did make some mistakes in the final third but he has his strengths. He is a player who also put in a great performance against Barcelona and he is still young,” he said in an interview with Sky Sports.

“Everyone expects Lukaku to go out and be both devastating and dominant in these games and make the team play well. He did not do very badly but had poor control on some occasions. He is in the team for a reason and that is certainly not to play like Paulo Dybala.”

He then spoke on the game itself.

“We saw an extraordinary Juventus performance. Inter must learn to defend better and Conte will be angry because of this. Individually they are strong but they let their opponents play far too much. Conte will not be happy.”
