Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has confirmed that he sees Inter as a rival for the 2019/20 Serie A title, even though the Bianconeri won the first match between the two sides this past weekend.

“I think Inter are a competitor for the Serie A title. Sunday was a good match between us. Inter have a good team, if you have the strongest team it is clear after 38 games,” he is quoted as saying by Goal.com at the ‘Leaders Sport Business Summit’ which took place today in London.

He then went on to reveal that he and his fellow European Club Association members are looking at ways in which they can avoid a single team or same few teams dominating domestically.

“A lot of leagues are now monopolised. We want to reform the European leagues for this reason. I am not complaining too much with the domination my Juventus have enjoyed but we are seeking reform as this is what the fans want to see.”
