Former Juventus and Inter midfielder Marco Tardelli has shared his views on the race for the Serie A title at this early stage of the 2019/20 season.
Juventus’ victory over Inter this past weekend allowed them to go top of the table but they do only have a one point lead over the Nerazzurri who, Sunday’s result aside, have made an otherwise perfect start to the season.
“The race for the Serie A title is not a foregone conclusion because Inter is doing well. Juventus are growing, they are making progress, they are also playing well and they are beginning to understand what their coach, Maurizio Sarri, wants of them,” he explained in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
He concluded by discussing the other two teams who make up the rest of the top four: “Napoli have not been very consistent but that is only at the moment, whilst we should also watch out for Atalanta.”
