A few days on from Juventus’ 2-1 victory over Inter, Bianconeri defender Matthijs de Ligt has reflected upon his first Derby D’Italia experience.
“Criticism is part of the game, unfortunately this is the life of a defender. The game was a real battle at very high intensity,” the Dutchman said in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.
“The boundary between playing well and playing badly is very thin, matches like the one at San Siro are fantastic for assessing one’s strengths, even if you do not play every week. I try to learn from my mistakes.”
