Ajax’s Donny Van de Beek is one of several midfielders which Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has marked as a potential signing in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Tuttosport.

The 22-year-old has been followed by Inter for a few years now and the Nerazzurri could finally make a move for him in the coming months.

Manchester United’s Nemanja Matic is another player under consideration. The Serbian midfielder has fallen out of favour at the Premier League outfit and with his contract set to expire at the end of this season, he could well be acquired on the cheap.

Inter are also keen on Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic although the report from the Turin based news outlet does warn that the capital city club will be expecting big money for the 24-year-old and it is highly unlikely that they will allow one of their star men to leave in January.
