Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon spoke in the mixed area of the Trento Sport Festival today, with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb noting his words.
“First of all I thank Vieri for his words, I’m very pleased.”
The 41-year-old Italian discussed the importance of being Inter in the Derby d’Italia earlier this season.
“Winning it meant little, as it was how we won that meant a lot. This time, in my opinion, form was more important than substance.”
He also touched on Italy’s new green shirt.
“It doesn’t matter if you like it or not, meanings matter. In this case the meaning has been made public. For one occasion it can be fine, but then there is a need definitely to brush up on the blue that is part of the history of our national team.”
The 41-year-old Italian goalkeeper has played two full games for the Bianconeri this season after returning from a one-season spell with French side Paris Saint Germain last year.
