Around 80% of respondents to Inter and AC Milan’s survey relating to their proposed new stadium have declared that they would not like to have to travel elsewhere for the sake of San Siro being renovated according to a report in today’s paper edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The two clubs have proposed a brand new state-of-the-art stadium but have received a lot of opposition particularly from local residents and city councillors who would prefer to see the two clubs current stadium, San Siro, being renovated rather than knocked down to make way for the new ground and all that will come with it.

The aforementioned 80% of people made it clear that they have no interest in having to travel to smaller stadiums, perhaps even as far as 100km, to watch their respective teams play in the event of San Siro being renovated.

Corriere dello Sport also go on to report that a response from the city council when it comes to declaring a public interest in the new stadium project is expected by the end of this month.
