In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, former Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has spoken on the title race in Serie A this season.
“Before Juventus had no rivals but now Inter and Napoli are getting closer to them. The Nerazzurri have surprised me this season especially Stefano Sensi. He adapted quickly even though he had not played at these levels yet,” he told the Milanese newspaper.
He then elaborated further on his praise of Inter.
“Antonio Conte is the reason why Inter are so strong. Inter has a quality attack with Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez and has a solid backline with Diego Godin and Stefan de Vrij. I am glad that Stefan has recovered from the knee problems he had at Lazio.”
Next he was asked how he thinks Inter will cope against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
“Against Dortmund it will be difficult for Inter. Dortmund have a lot of quality and are frightening on the counter attack. A prediction? It will be a balance match, I think it will be a draw.”
