Inter assistant coach Cristian Stellini spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia in the aftermath of the Nerazzurri’s 4-3 victory away against Sassuolo in the Serie A earlier today.
“For us it was essential to win, we work hard and since the beginning of the year we have been working on a lot of things. We’re trying to grow in many ways, starting out as we have today has been very positive.”
“We have to take this with us to continue along this path. Then there are details to work on, it will take time. We will analyse well because the efforts have failed, the international break can lead to drops in focus, but it cannot be an excuse.”
The Nerazzurri are currently two points behind league leaders Juventus, after only losing a single game so far this season. That loss was to the Bianconeri in the Derby d’Italia before the international break.
Coach Antonio Conte was unavailable for any interviews following the victory today due to a minor stomach illness.
