Italian journalist Maurizio Pistocchi suggested that Inter are still not a “Conte team” just yet, after their worrying final 20 minutes in their 4-3 victory over Sassuolo today.
The Nerazzurri, who were 4-1 up after 71 minutes, looked to be in control of the game. However, Sassuolo suddenly started to dictate play and two goals in seven minutes showed that the squad still have a lot of work to do before they are truly an Antonio Conte team.
Pistocchi posted a photo of an angry Conte on Twitter alongside the caption: “Sassuolo-Inter 3:4 Inter dominated for 70 minutes, scored 4 goals with Lautaro (2) and Lukaku (2) but in the last quarter of an hour went out of the game, [Sassuolo] scored two goals in a few minutes, were dominated by Sassuolo. Not yet an ‘AConte’ team, neither tactically nor mentally.”
