Former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli praised Inter coach Antonio Conte when speaking to radio show ‘Tutti Convocati’ on Italian radio station Radio 24 yesterday.

“He has worked really well: maybe only on a few concepts, but they are clear and precise. The Inter players know exactly what they have to do.”

The 62-year-old Italian also made a joke about former Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku.

“The Belgian makes mistakes like all the forwards do, but he’s a generous player: he’s the first to help his team-mates. He still has to adapt to Italian football, then it will be a problem for all the defenders who will have to face him.”

Lukaku joined the Nerazzurri in a deal worth around €80 million earlier this summer from the Red Devils, finally getting to work with Conte. The 50-year-old Italian coach has been keen to work with the 26-year-old Belgian striker since his time coaching South London side Chelsea.
