Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller, who seems to be destined away from the Bundesliga giants over the coming months, joked with reporters yesterday following Bayern Munich’s 2-1 victory over Union Berlin, according to today’s paper edition of the German tabloid Bild.
“I’ve heard that from Monday the weather will change. I also felt a change in the air, so we decided to play with the ball on the ground.”
The 30-year-old German forward is reportedly unhappy due to his limited role with the club this season. He has only started four of the club’s nine games in the league so far this season, playing the full 90 minutes only once.
Whilst his comments may not give a definitive answer about his future and his links with clubs such as Inter or Manchester United, they may suggest that he is keen for a breath of fresh air. Both Bayern’s coach and sporting director refused to entertain the possibility of him leaving.
