Inter manager Antonio Conte sat down with several members of the club’s management yesterday to discuss the current state of the squad according to a report in today’s paper edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Conte met with vice-president Javier Zanetti, chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio and shared his worries about the team with all four in agreement by the end of the meeting that the team needs to be improved.

The report goes on to state that Inter will primarily look to improve the midfield department in the upcoming January transfer window.

They will sign at least one midfielder, but perhaps even two, and there has been no shortage of links between Inter and several players across Europe.

Inter have drawn particularly strong links to the likes of Barcelona pair Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal as well as Manchester United’s Nemanja Matic among many many others.
