Noted journalist Luigi Garlando has taken a look at Inter’s level of exhaustion off the back of their victory over Brescia last night, which was their fourth match in nine days.

“Inter went to sleep at the top of the table and fell asleep immediately because they are dead tired. For most of the second half, they were beaten up by Brescia and ended the game kicking away everything that was raining into the box,” he began a column in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Inter know they will have to get used to this suffering because, as Conte said loud and clear, they must always play in the same way. Today there is an irreplaceable Inter.

Playing every three days with the intensity that Conte wants, with such short recovery time in between, is not easy. Inter’s exhaustion after the Borussia Dortmund match held them back against Parma and then against Brescia.”

He concluded: “Inter will have to keep going until at least January, when the owners will add depth to the team, as promised.”
