Former Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero spoke about Inter’s 2-1 victory over Bologna last night to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
“Inter are tired and haven’t played a great game in terms of intensity, but they’ve always set the pace clearly, even when they’re at a disadvantage. Without frenzy or long balls, they always tried through the passing to get to the goal and in this there is the hand of the coach.”
The Nerazzurri’s 2-1 victory against the Rossoblu yesterday sees them remain one point behind the Bianconeri at the top of the league table. The strong start to the season by both clubs sees them remain six and seven points ahead of 3rd place Roma, suggesting that the title race may now only involve the two rivals.
Inter’s victory also saw them maintain their perfect away record in the league, winning all six games played away from the San Siro.
