Speaking in Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia studios, Alessandro Costacurta spoke on Inter’s 3-2 defeat against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

“We must try to understand where Dortmund grew and where Inter fell. We have seen two completely different teams. The ingenuity of the Nerazzurri’s second goal was sensational. We cannot hide the fact that Inter have been playing the same for some time now,” the former AC Milan defender started.

He then went on to defend Antonio Conte, who exploded post-match, by saying everyone would do the same if they had the same mindset as the former Italy manager.

“Conte came out of two of the most difficult stadiums in the world, and is the most pissed off of all. As soon as the game ended, I expected him to throw the studio up in the air, we would all have been the same with his state of mind.”
