Inter are already working towards securing squad reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window, identifying two roles that need to be filled to fit coach Antonio Conte’s requests, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking for a strong forward such as Olivier Giroud. The 33-year-old Frenchman is unhappy at Chelsea due to a lack of playing time, owing to the breakout performances of young striker Tammy Abraham. Conte has identified his need for a forward such as Giroud or a similar player, in order to provide depth for Romelu Lukaku.

Furthermore, the report continues, Inter are also looking for a strong and consistent midfielder such as Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal. Whilst the 32-year-old Chilean is the primary target for this role, Inter understand the difficulty they may face trying to sign him, and so alternatives similar to the player are being followed.
