There are already eight players that are sure to play in next summer’s European Championships with Italy, including Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Salvatore Sirigu, Federico Bernardeschi, Federico Chiesa, Nicolo Barella and Jorginho are all certain to be lining up for Italy in Euro 2020, owing to their strong performances both with their respective clubs and with the Azzurri.
Furthermore, the report details how coach Roberto Mancini is likely to deploy a young Azzurri squad tonight for their final Euro 2020 qualifying game against Armenia, with players such as Alex Meret from Napoli, Sandro Tonali from Brescia and Gaetano Castrovilli from Fiorentina.
There is also a chance that Inter’s Cristiano Biraghi could appear in next summer’s squad, the report continues, due to the frequent injuries to Roma left back Leonardo Spinazzola. Other players who could make the squad include Sandro Tonali, Nicolo Zaniolo and either Alex Meret or Atalanta’s Pierluigi Gollini.
