Inter and AC Milan will have to present an updated new stadium project to the Milan City Council if they want to go ahead with their wishes, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Il Giorno.

The report details how the City Council’s letter sent yesterday has asked the clubs to propose a new plan and feasibility study in accordance with the requirements they’ve placed on the clubs.

Now the both clubs will have to reply and decide whether the conditions are there to still invest in the San Siro area and renovate the existing stadium, or move to a different location, such as Sesto Gan Giovanni.

Originally both Milanese clubs were hoping to build one of their proposed projects in the San Siro area and demolish the existing stadium.

However, the City Council blocked any ideas of demolishment, forcing the clubs to have to update their projects.
