Inter have announced a partnership with Chinese music streaming and download service QQ Music through a post on the Chinese social media website Weibo, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

The report details how QQ Music, managed by Chinese conglomerate Tencent, has over 800 million users. Inter are the first football club in Europe to join this platform, which already contains Inter Media House content and, in the future, will also contain exclusive Nerazzurri content for Chinese Inter fans.

The move makes sense considering Inter’s wishes to grow in the global market, with owners Suning being one of the biggest companies in China. By expanding Inter’s influence in Asia, the club will earn more revenue due to the high increase in fans. The Nerazzurri understand the importance of marketing and global presence and the deal helps them keep close to the outreach seen with domestic giants Juventus, who regularly work hard to create new fans across the globe.
