Inter owner Jindong Zhang celebrated the success of the Jiangsu Suning women’s team, close to winning their second league title ever after ten years, when speaking to Chinese media outlet Xinhuanet, with his words being gathered by Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

“For the Suning group’s football, it is also necessary to learn and convey the spirit of the women’s national volleyball team. Now, we want to write a new chapter in the history of Chinese women’s football also through the Champions League and the National Team.”

Zhang then touched on his commitment to growing women’s football.

“The league is not the end point, but a higher starting point for a new start. As the only industrial group in China with a men’s and women’s Super League team, Suning will rely on sports broadcasts by the PP Sports platform, Inter’s men’s and women’s football and other high-quality sports resources to ensure better training and quality of competition for the women’s football team.”

Finally, Zhang spoke about sending promising Chinese players to Europe in order to further grow women’s football in China.

“When the ideal conditions are there, we must bring our best talents to Italy and other European countries so that they can be formed and grow further. At the same time, we must strengthen our commercial activities and look for more and more commercial and corporate sponsors. We want to constantly improve the professional construction of the club and promote the development of women’s football in China.”
