New Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho is looking to remove four big names who aren’t in his long-term plans with the club, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, with three of them being linked to Inter in the past.
The report details how Mourinho is keen to sell Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen in the upcoming January transfer window, before their contracts would expire next June. Three of these players have been previously linked to Inter, suggesting that the Nerazzurri may approach the North London club to negotiate a possible deal.
Vertonghen, Eriksen and Alderweireld have all been previously linked to the Nerazzurri, the report continues, and so that gives Inter an opportunity to approach the players to see if they can negotiate a possible deal. Eriksen will be the least likely, due to the interest of other top clubs around Europe.
