Torino Midfielder Daniele Baselli: “It’s Normal That Inter Score But We Can’t Be This Naive”

Torino midfielder Daniele Baselli spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia last night after the Granata’s 3-0 defeat to Inter in the Serie A.

“The team approached the game well, but we can’t be this naive on the pitch, in the Serie A it shouldn’t happen. We have to be much more careful, it’s normal for Inter to score.”

“We were there in terms of the level of play, we’ve had our chances, but we are going through a period that is not very good for us. We couldn’t let Inter counterattack, as they’re already strong.”

Inter’s win last night was vital in the title race, after Juventus beat Atalanta 3-1 earlier in the day. The Nerazzurri now sit on 34 points after 13 games, still trailing the Bianconeri by one point. Inter’s next league game is against SPAL next Sunday.

Torino’s loss last night has seen them drop to 12^th place in the league, with the Granata only winning one game in their last five.
