Former AC Milan vice-chairman and chief executive Adriano Galliani has praised Inter for the way in which they have started this season.
Inter are just one point behind league leaders Juventus after 13 games played and speaking on Sport Mediaset show Tiki Taka, Galliani said: “I watched Milan play at San Siro, then I went out with Max Allegri and watched Inter on TV and ate some pizza: Inter seemed like a war machine. Without Inter, the season would have already been finished on November 20th.”
Galliani also revealed he tried to bring in Antonio Conte and stated that if he were still with the Rossoneri, he would have tried to sign Mauro Icardi too, prior to the Argentine joining Paris Saint Germain.
“I tried to bring Antonio Conte to AC Milan, I courted him for a long time but it did not go well. For sure, if I were still at AC Milan I would have tried to sign Mauro Icardi, who is an extraordinary striker.”
