Federico Chiesa’s situation is similar to that of Mauro Icardi’s according to a report in today’s print edition of La Repubblica.

Relations between the Italian international winger and the Viola leadership have completely broken down, just like what happened between Icardi and Inter’s management last season.

The report also goes on to state that 22-year-old Chiesa has lost the support of his peers in the dressing room. This comes after his refusal to warm-up when asked to by manager Vincenzo Montella during their 1-0 defeat to Hellas Verona this past weekend.

Chiesa is being heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Artemio Franchi club with it entirerly possible that he could leave as soon as the upcoming January transfer window. Inter and Juventus are both long-term admirers of him.

This season he has made 13 appearances across all competitions. In 1112 minutes on the field, he has scored three goals and provided four assists.
