Former Juventus and Italian national team midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has disccused what the upcoming January transfer window could mean for the Serie A title race.
“The January transfer window could change things. Inter could well fill the gap but Juventus are even stronger than them. For sure I think we will enjoy a good duel between them to the end of the season,” he explained in an interview with Italian radio station TMW Radio.
After 13 games played in the league, not even a club record start has allowed Inter to occupy top spot as they currently trail their arch-rivals by a single point in the Serie A standings.
Inter have surprised many by managing to keep up with Juventus, who have reigned supreme over Serie A for the past eight years.
Inter have drawn links to several players ahead of the January transfer window and it is believed that the midfield and the attack are the areas where the Nerazzurri are targetting reinforcements.
