Inter Wingback Valentino Lazaro: “We Know We’re Top Of The Serie A But One Match At A Time”

Inter midfielder Valentino Lazaro discussed the Nerazzurri’s important 2-1 win over SPAL today in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV after the final whistle.

“It wasn’t easy to get this win, which is an important one. We’re all very happy about the win, but we know that getting the three points is never easy. We know that we are first in the standings. This is a small prize for us, but we must continue to work hard. We only think about the games one  at a time.”

The 23-year-old Austrian then discussed his role in coach Antonio Conte’s system.

“In my career I’ve played in various positions. In the 3-5-2 there’s not much difference for me, because I can attack the deep areas, look to dribble, unleash crosses, change the game quickly. The patterns are always the same.”

The Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over the Ferrara based club was Lazaro’s sixth appearance of the season, as he slowly starts to adapt to Conte’s tactical set up. He has provided two assists so far this season.
