Inter are set to fight Juventus for two more players next summer, not just Sandro Tonali, as both clubs look to sign Federico Chiesa and Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how Fiorentina’s 22-year-old Italian forward was close to leaving the Florence based club last summer for the Bianconeri, but the change in ownership at the club convinced him to stay. However, the starlet is hoping to leave the club next summer instead and push his career further, with ambitions of competing for the league title and progressing in the Champions League.
The Nerazzurri have a small advantage over the Turin based club for Chiesa’s signature, the report highlights, due to Joe Barone, Rocco Commisso’s trusted advisor. Barone would prefer to send Chiesa to Inter instead of the Bianconeri.
In regard to Roma’s Pellegrini, the 23-year-old Italian is a target of both the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri, despite the Giallorossi’s preference to keep the midfielder. However, Inter face a more difficult task as the relationship between Roma and Juventus is strong, and therefore Inter may have difficulty securing both Pellegrini’s signature as well as Chiesa’s.
