Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has congratulated Inter for their current good form and has tipped the Nerazzurri to continue competing for the rest of the season for the Serie A title.
“I believe that Inter are currently demonstrating the typical consistency of an Antonio Conte side,” Gasperini, who had a brief stint in charge of Inter during the 2011/12 season, told Italian radio station Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.
“Conte is not leaving anything to chance and Inter have what it takes to be able to fight for the title until the end of the season.”
After 14 games played, Inter currently find themselves occupying top spot in the Serie A table having made club history by taking 37 of the 42 points available to them.
Inter have won 12 of their 14 league games, drawn once and lost the other game, with that loss coming to arch-rivals Juventus, who are right behind them on 36 points.
