It is no longer forbidden for Inter to dream about the possibility of becoming Serie A champions come the end of the current season according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.

Inter took full advantage of Juventus slipping up in their match against Sassuolo by winning 2-1 at home to a struggling SPAL side, a result which allowed them to leapfrog their arch-rivals and return to the top of the Serie A standings for the first time in a number of weeks.

After 14 games played, of which Inter have won 12, they have 37 points to their name out of a possible 42 that they could have had.

The report from the Milanese newspaper state that the Inter team appear to be fully on board with manager Antonio Conte and his ideas and have proven that they can win matches when they need to win them, no matter how much difficult they find themselves in.
