Inter Campus are to take part in the United Nations event ‘Sport for all for Development and Peace’ on ‘International Day of People with Disabilities’ according to a report in today’s print edition of Turin newspaper Tuttosport.

“Inter Campus will once again be present at the prestigious United Nations headquarters in New York, just three months after their last involvement in an UN project,” the report explains.

“Since 1997, Inter Campus has been a flexible and long-term cooperation project which gives thousands of children their fundamental right to play.

“In addition to its historic international commitment, Inter Campus operates in Italy and collaborates with non-profit organisations involving children with intellectual disabilities in football themed activities designed and implemented on an ad hoc basis.”

International Day of People with Disabilities is an annual international observance which the United Nations have promoted since 1992. It’s aim is to promote understanding of people with disabilities around the globe and each year there is a different theme.
