With the half-way point of the season approaching, Turin based newspaper Tuttosport have today taken stock of the current state of Inter, who currently lead the way in Serie A.

Many Inter players are flying at the moment, none more so than Lautaro Martinez. The 22-year-old striker is in the form of his life and has 13 goals in 19 appearances so far this season. In the past month, he has scored six goals. His strike partner Romelu Lukaku is also in superb form at the moment with 11 goals to his name.

Not all players are like this though and some are struggling. Milan Skriniar has struggled to adapt to the three-man defensive system whilst Cristiano Biraghi has failed to impress in general. Matteo Politano is also struggling with him not really having a place in Conte’s system.

Inter have had very little luck when it comes to injuries as of late. Kwadwo Asamoah has been bothered by a niggling knee injury whilst midfielders Roberto Gagliardini, Nicolo Barella and Stefano Sensi are all dealing with injuries. Alexis Sanchez is also sidelined by injury.

Other than the injuries in the midfield, Inter have almost always managed to deploy the same team elsewhere on the park. Morale is currently high in the Inter camp and could get even higher if they are to succeed in progressing to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
